Nelson
My tripoddog is 4 months old, an Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler
named Nelson. He adopted us on January 19th.
I found him on PetFinder.com and saw his picture and that was it -
I loved him right away. Ironically, I picked him out by his picture
and did not realize he was a tripod until I read his bio.
We have been told that he was born without his right leg and that
he was given up to a shelter in Wheaton, IL.
The good thing is, he doesn't know he's missing his leg, because he was
born that way. He is such a good puppy and is learning to adapt to our 13
year old Golden Retriever, Ashley and our 8 year old Cat, Tigger.
I am attaching a picture of him and a short video of him to show how he
can run. I am hoping I can prepare him as a "Therapy Dog."
Most of the Tripods I see on-line have had cancer and a limb amputated.

Ashley
My dog's name is Ashley. She's a Brittany Spaniel.
She lost her leg when she was 2 years old.
We were taking her to the vet's office to be boarded,
because we were going to Saint Augustine.
Well, we put her on the back of the truck (I told my brother not to).
When we were driving way from the house, we got to the first corner.
We're guessing she saw a squirrel and she jumped to get it.
She fell on her back. of course, stupid me, I jumped out of the car.
We hopped her in the car and rushed her to the hospital.
What's special about my dog is that she is very sweet and loving and cute! :]
